A belated Happy Birthday, Shelley! What a beautiful cake! … I’ve been lost in WordPress, migrated a few weeks ago from Blogger, and the writing environment is lovely, but php? Fahget it. All that nice XHTML Strict I learned to write at Blogger … Whatever happened to your fork. I fantasize about forks, just now–keeps me going.

Thanks for the kind comments and the birthday wishes.

I abandoned the fork, zo, in favor of writing tools and utilities that can be used with WordPress.

    A *really* belated Happy Birthday!

A fixture on my to-do list for the last year or so has been to do a big (at least 4′ square, ideally double that) oil painting copied from a close-up of one of our moggies. There’s something really compelling about their faces close up. (I tried landscape painting when we first arrived in Italy – heh, it’s a lot harder than it looks, but it did sort out that year’s family Xmas presents).

Post a pic if you do, Danny.
