Jobs really is much better at interviews than Gates, isn’t he?

There’s a movie called Pirates of Silicon Valley that’s worth a look — it wasn’t entirely successful, but there’s enough there to chew on, if you’re interested. And Noah Wylie is a dead ringer for Jobs.

  2. Doug Alder says:

OMG that was funny – Jobs completely made Gates speechless with the secret marriage thing :D

  3. Is anybody a dead ringer for Gates?

  4. Sure.

Well, for sufficiently small values of ‘dead ringer’.

  5. Shelley says:

Jobs is quicker on his toes in the interview, but I thought the one point where he cut in when Gates was starting to tell the story was a bit rude. And Jobs was also a bit cutting with the folks, interviewers and with Bill Gates.

The funniest part was about the ads, when Jobs started to say that it wasn’t really meant to be mean, and everyone’s reaction was, “Oh yeah?”

But they really looked like PC Guy and Mac, didn’t they?

  6. Scott says:

Jobs is right though. PC guy really makes those commercials work. You’re really pulling for him. Mac guy is just kind of a blank. Best parody I’ve seen:

a mac vs. pc commercial you’ll never see: “Whatcha doin, PC?” “I’m playing this new game.” “Oh really, which one?” “Any.” “Oh.” (silence) (fade)
