Home Made Halloween

Just in time for Halloween, Candy Addict points to How to make your own candy bars from Chow. This site has pulled together recipes to emulate some of today’s more popular candy bars, including “Almond Jay”, “PB Cups”, a “Twixt” wannabe, and “Snickles”.

I’m looking for a DIY recipe for Cadbury’s Cherry Ripe, which is virtually impossible to find here in the States.

Mmm… Cherry Ripe. You want I should send you some for Christmas? :-)

I’m tempted, but neither you nor I can afford the shipping ARJ ;-)

Now that summer is over, I’ll see if I can find them again at the US-based Australian food online shops.

Bah and pish posh. Air mail for parcels up to 250g to the US is only AU$8.50. That’s 4 bars! And 500g is only $13.90, which means double the candy for only half the cost more. Plus I got a promotion at work and am no longer supporting a student and povo. If I can’t afford a $20 gift now for a weblog author I’ve been enjoying for years, it’s poverty of spirit I’m suffering from! If I’ve tempted you enough email me an address from which you are happy to pick up your treat. My shout!

The only Cherry Ripe recipe I could find thus far was this one:
And that ain’t for no candy bar.

That’s very sweet of you ARJ ;-)

Thank you, and I’ll email you my address. I’ll see if I can’t find some Missouri wool to send you for Christmas.

(Missouri wool is like all other wool, but Bush looks good when you’re wearing something made from it.)

    It’s a deal! :-)

Missouri wool may be like all other wool, but when you’re into wool, all wool is unique.
