Pulled Post

I had to pull the recent cellphone company post. As soon as it was published, it was showing up on Google within five minutes, and a top item, too. Then I got buried in comments and trackbacks from spam weblogs. Probably not a good idea to use the name of a cellphone company in one’s weblog post title.

Besides, during this holiday season, I am going to be all that is sweetness and light.

Yeah, right.

update My next post showed up on Google three minutes after posting. Must be all that Columbia river water.

Crap. I was looking forward to seeing the power of blogging in action, where the CEO of [redacted cell phone company] sprung into action and personally resolved the problem. Because the CEO of [redacted] vanity surfs the internets looking for trouble, like Batman and the Batsignal.

    Right?

Nope, it isn’t, given that many of these large corporations drop quite a bit of coin on ‘reputation management’ services to indirectly control what appears in Google.

What, no blogging ‘damn the torpedoes’ attitude?

2nding the first comment, although it’s tongue in cheek.
