NeighborhoodGet Better

Per Jeneane and Ann came news that Marek was ill from unknown causes, in pain, and in the hospital. Bad news.

Tonight, we hear from David that Marek has an intestinal infection and is going home on Sunday - much better news.

Marek, this is what happens when you quit smoking - your body starts becoming a much more attractive habitat for nasties.

This human body is funny. I shits and pisses and then it hurts and it wants to be touched and kissed and fucked and then it goes to the hospital and then it dies. However invented such a machine? huh?

In point of fact, when you quit smoking, you get healthier. Smoking leeches the body of essential vitamins, particularly vitamin B, as well as causing the immune system to weaken.

Within three years, your lungs are nearly back to normal, or to their best elasticity before you changed them by smoking. Within seven years, it's as if you never smoked. Except for that elasticity thing. The tar and nicotine is flushed out.

The bad news is that nicotine remains in body fat, so as you lose the nonsmoking weight, you crave cigarettes. Just say no.

Glad to see you're feeling better Marek.
